Finca del Sol

Finca del Sol was my first solo Airbnb investment — a project where I deepened my experience in blending design, hosting, and storytelling into an unforgettable guest experience. Inspired by my travels and the warmth of Spanish architecture, I envisioned a home that felt both luxurious and welcoming — a true retreat for families and friends to gather.

The name itself reflects that vision: Finca, meaning “estate” or “countryside home,” paired with del Sol, meaning “of the sun.” Together, it captures the essence of a sun-drenched estate designed for connection, warmth, and joy.

Every detail was intentional: king-sized comfort in each bedroom, cozy conversation areas both indoors and out, and a fully stocked kitchen designed for gathering over shared meals. The interiors balanced style with soul, creating a space where guests could unplug, recharge, and make lasting memories.

Outdoors, I led a complete backyard overhaul — including my signature diamond grid turf and pavers, refreshed landscaping, and thoughtful zones for both relaxation and entertaining. The result was an outdoor living space that extended the home’s warmth and elevated its appeal as a destination rental.

This property also reflects my family’s influence. As the youngest of six siblings, and shaped by lessons from my late parents, I believe in the power of time spent with loved ones. Finca del Sol embodied that belief — more than a vacation rental, it became a place for connection.

Designed, branded, and self-managed end-to-end, Finca del Sol showcased the intersection of my three pillars:

  • Maximize Brands – crafting the property’s story and guest experience

  • Maximize Spaces – designing interiors and outdoor living that balance luxury and comfort

  • Maximize Rentals – hosting with care, earning and maintaining Superhost status

After two years of hosting and living in the home myself for a season, I made the bittersweet decision to sell it to a short-term rental investor who will continue to operate it as a vacation home. Closing this chapter allows me to focus fully on the next — growing Maximize Studio & Design and helping more people and businesses create spaces and stories that maximize what matters most.
