Paradise at Villa Santa Cruz

This project represents one of the most meaningful chapters of my life.

After losing my father to Parkinson’s Disease in 2022, I wanted to honor both of my parents by transforming that grief into something lasting — a space designed to bring our family together for generations to come.

I proposed the idea to my five older siblings of reinvesting the proceeds from our childhood home into a new shared property:
a vacation home our parents had always dreamed of having.

The result became Paradise at Villa Santa Cruz — a tropical-inspired hospitality experience in Mesa, Arizona designed around gathering, connection, celebration, and intentional living.

The name itself carries deep meaning:
Paradise reflects our vision of creating a small slice of heaven for both our family and guests, while Santa Cruz honors the town in the Philippines where my parents were born and raised.

This became a fully integrated, end-to-end project that brought together all three pillars of Maximize Studio & Design:

Maximize Brands

Developing the identity, story, and emotional positioning behind the property.

Maximize Spaces

Designing the interior and exterior experience to reflect a tropical, resort-inspired Filipino oasis centered around hospitality and gathering.

Maximize Rentals

Launching, optimizing, and operating the property through Airbnb and Vrbo with a focus on elevated guest experience, hospitality systems, and long-term performance.

Today, the property ranks within the top 5% of short-term rentals in the Phoenix/Scottsdale market.

But more importantly, it became something far deeper than a successful rental property.

It became a legacy project —
a space that honors our family, celebrates our heritage, and creates meaningful experiences for both the people we love and the guests who stay there.

Because at the heart of everything I build is one core belief:

The environments we create have the power to bring people together and shape how fully we experience life.
