Paradise at Villa Santa Cruz
This project represents one of the most meaningful chapters of my life.
After losing my father to Parkinson’s Disease in 2022, I wanted to honor both of my parents by transforming that grief into something lasting: a space designed to bring our family together for generations to come.
I proposed to my five older siblings that we reinvest the proceeds from our childhood home into a new shared property, creating the vacation home our parents had always dreamed of having.
The result became Paradise at Villa Santa Cruz, a tropical inspired hospitality experience in Mesa, Arizona centered around gathering, connection, celebration, and intentional living.
The name itself carries deep meaning. Paradise reflects our vision of creating a small slice of heaven for both our family and our guests, while Santa Cruz honors the town in the Philippines where my parents were born and raised.
From Legacy to Experience
From concept through launch and ongoing operation, I shaped the property as a complete hospitality experience, bringing together brand storytelling, interior and outdoor living design, furnishing and styling, guest experience, and vacation rental strategy.
The interiors and expansive outdoor spaces were designed to evoke the feeling of a tropical Filipino inspired resort while creating multiple opportunities for people to gather, celebrate, relax, and spend meaningful time together.
That same intention carried into the guest experience and operation of the property, from its positioning and presentation to the hospitality systems designed to support a memorable stay and long term performance.
Today, Paradise at Villa Santa Cruz is recognized by Airbnb among the Top 5% of homes based on ratings, reviews, and reliability
But its greatest measure of success is what the property has become beyond its performance.
Paradise is a legacy project. A space that honors our family, celebrates our heritage, and creates meaningful experiences for both the people we love and the guests we welcome.
At the heart of it is the belief that continues to shape my work today.
