Biltmore Highlands Oasis
Transforming an existing property into an elevated hospitality experience centered around indoor outdoor living.
Set against the backdrop of Piestewa Peak in Phoenix, Biltmore Highlands Oasis began with an opportunity to rethink how an existing home could better serve both its guests and its surroundings.
The vision was to create a relaxed, resort inspired retreat that embraced the Arizona lifestyle, with spaces designed for gathering, entertaining, and spending time outdoors while still feeling comfortable and inviting inside.
My work focused on shaping the property as a complete experience, considering how guests would move through the home, where they would naturally gather, and how the interior and exterior environments could work together to create a memorable stay.
Creating the Guest Experience
The outdoor experience became the defining element of the property.
The design approach focused on maximizing what already made the property special while identifying opportunities to elevate the guest experience. Through furniture selection and procurement, styling, space planning, and hospitality focused details, I created distinct areas for gathering, entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying the Arizona setting.
Outdoors, the existing pool became the anchor for a resort inspired experience. I introduced a dedicated cabana to create a shaded lounge and entertainment zone, while designing the surrounding outdoor spaces to offer multiple ways to gather and relax. Conversation seating, outdoor dining, and poolside chaise lounges created distinct zones for entertaining, sharing meals, lounging by the pool, or simply taking in the mountain views.
My role continued beyond furnishing and styling into the launch, positioning, optimization, guest experience, and ongoing management of the property, allowing the hospitality experience to evolve based on how guests use and enjoy the space.
Today, Biltmore Highlands Oasis is recognized by Airbnb as a Guest Favorite and among the Top 5% of homes, based on ratings, reviews, and reliability.
